WHAT SETS US
APART?
Traditional physical therapy for children focuses on addressing physical factors that impact development and function, such as limited range of motion, muscle weakness, poor endurance, and coordination issues. In contrast, holistic or functional therapy considers additional elements that might affect a child's ability to improve. For example, a child with cerebral palsy may receive a consultation that includes examining the effects of medications on cellular health, food sensitivities, nutrient deficiencies, exposure to heavy metals, and environmental factors like mold, diet, and water quality.
Alternative healing practices, such as sound and light therapy, vibration therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, nutritional supplements, and dietary changes, may also be recommended or incorporated. By achieving a more balanced body, a child can better access new movement capabilities and experience enhanced overall health and function across all developmental areas.
